Winters in Beijing are cold and dry. With average temperatures as low as 24 F in January. Summers are hot and humid. July is the hotest month, with average temperatures of 78F, and most of the annual rainfall occurs in July and august. Spring and autumn are probably the most pleasant times of the year in the capital, with moderate temperatures and little rain.
